Carbon Sequestration in Construction Materials
• CO2 contributes 75 % of these greenhouse gases. • Carbon capture and sequestration in the construction industry through mineral carbonation technology. I • Terrestrial carbon sequestration through construction materials - a rapidly growing stream of carbon utilization. • Recent research activities at KFUPM in this area and findings Dr. Saheed is an Assistant Professor in CEE. He has a B.Eng. from Nigeria, in 2003, Master’s degree in 2012 and a Ph.D. in 2017 from KFUPM. His research program focuses on scientific and applied aspects of novel construction materials & structural systems for advancing sustainable infrastructural development in the modern carbon-sensitive landscape.
