These awards are granted annually to one co-op student from each of Waterloo’s six faculties. The recipients are chosen based on the impact they have made with their employers, work term evaluations, community involvement, academic achievement and their promotion of the co-operative education program.

The ceremony will also honour the 2022 Co-op Problem Award recipients. These awards are granted each term to co-op students who have found and analyzed a strategically important problem affecting their employer. Winners are chosen based on how well their analysis aligns with The Problem Lab methodology.
